A friend took me to the International Printing Museum over the weekend where I got to see all kinds of old printing presses and countless amounts of wood and metal type. While I was there I learned that they are attempting to expand their collection of type for their Ludlow press which doesn’t come cheap. They have a Kickstarter project that is very close to being funded and the video above helps explain what they are trying to accomplish and why. Tiger Tank Euphoria-Entangled Twins

This past week my band Tiger Tank Euphoria released Blue Light, our first EP. All seven tracks are available for purchase at tigertankeuphoria.com. You can also listen to each track below. Soon we will be releasing a single and a few other things we have in store.

I’m particularly proud of this record because it’s the most I’ve ever been involved in the recording process. What began with a couple of false starts ended up mostly being tracked at my home studio. We did begin with the basic instrumentation being played live in a studio and recorded to analog tape, giving the songs a solid foundation to build from. From there we converted to digital and did all the additional tracking and overdubs in my home studio (although we did track additional drums in a small studio as we were mixing the record).

We’ve looked forward to sharing our music for a long time and we hope you enjoy it!

Over the weekend I took part in a group show called Flight of Fancy which featured several of us locals. It was a fun time and a good showing of Long Beach art work. If you have a chance between now and July 23rd stop by Artistic Edge on 4th Street (at St. Louis) and have a look around.

I’ve been streaming this record, so great to hear new Beastie Boys. Also, that artwork is pretty rad. I like living in the day and age where artists leak / stream their music before anyone else so you can get excited to buy it on vinyl as soon as it comes out (and get the mp3 download code with it). With so much music out there it’s cool to have the chance to get excited by it first before buying it, although with the Beasties I could easily fork over some cash without ever hearing the record first because you know it’s going to be good.
